HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS

Hydraulics is a branch of mechanical engineering that uses the force of liquids to provide pressure. Hydraulic systems are widely used in areas where heavy loads have to be moved reliably. To ensure optimal performance, these installations require adequate automation systems.

For over 30 years, we have provided automation solutions for hydro-mechanical projects dedicated to water regulation and flood protection. Our systems put in motion equipment such as:

CASE STUDY
Hydropower Plant Rogun, Tajikistan 2010-2022

PROJECT:

The project of revitalizing the Rogun Hydropower Plant commenced in 2010, embarking on a multi-year endeavor that lasted until 2022. The comprehensive reconstruction project played a pivotal role in transforming Tajikistan’s energy landscape.

By advancing in successive stages over the years, the renovated plant not only positioned Tajikistan as a prominent regional energy hub but also bolstered its energy production capabilities. The reconstruction effectively doubled the country’s energy output and significantly reducing winter power shortages.

The complete investment in this project included:

OUR CONTRACT:

Hydropower Plant Đerdap 1, Serbia 2019-2021

PROJECT:

The ship lock reconstruction project stands out as a highly valuable endeavor within the investment cycle of Republic of Serbia. By increasing the annual passage capacity from 6,300 to 10,000 vessels, it will have a significant impact on fostering trade, tourism, and the economy of Serbia. This initiative will facilitate the optimal utilization of the Danube River as a crucial European traffic corridor.

The complete investment in the reconstruction of ship locks in Đerdap I is estimated to 28.5 million euros and finance partially from KfW funds. Siemens has been awarded the project. Recognizing our expertise in ship locks, they invited us to participate in the project as subcontractors.

OUR CONTRACT:

Sayano-Shushenskaya Hydropower Plant, Russia 2016

PROJECT:

In 2016. Russian hydroelectricity company RusHydro  requested a reconstruction of Sayano-shushenskaya Hydropower Plant.

The facility itself consist of the arch-gravity dam which is 246 m high and 1,066 m long, water reservoir, riparian spillways for the regulation of the water level in the reservoir and administrative building. For the power generation, the plant uses 10 hydro turbines each with a capacity of 640 MW at 194-m head located in 10 tunnels. For the water regulation, the plant also uses 11 spillways with gates within the dam itself.

The subject of delivery was Control System and it’s commissioning in the first phase. The control system manages radial gate on a riparian spillway. In the second phase we’ve delivered control system for 10 intake slide gates before the hydro turbines.

OUR CONTRACT:

Gorodetsky Shiplock, Russia 2012

PROJECT:

In 2011, Ministry of Transportation of the Russian Federation started the project that was supposed to increase the efficiency of public and cargo transport on the Volga River.

Our expertise and experience with similar projects, recommended us to participate in reconstruction project at Nizhegorodskaya HPP (Городецкий РГСиС) on the Volga River.

This gradual reconstruction started in 2011 and involved the replacement of chain drive mechanisms with hydraulic drives for gallery service gates in ship locks No. 13, 14, 15, and 16.

This drive replacement and automation project included eight gate hydraulic drives located in four identical ship locks, operating in automatic mode throughout the navigation season in the Volga River basin.
